Newton Mearns Social Lunch Club

The Newton Mearns Lunch Club meets every Tuesday in Albertslund Hall in Westacres, Newton Mearns.  The Lunch Club takes place every Tuesday from 10am till 2.30pm. The convenor is Pat Newton, who has been running the lunch club for 31 years.  An Age Concern Eastwood mini bus picks up the members and takes them home at the end of the day.

Pre-lunch activities include cards and dominoes along with specially designed exercises to keep members as mobile as possible. Lunch, tea and coffee are provided for a small fee. After lunch there is a calendar of events including travel talks, quizes, crafts, music and reminiscence amongst other things.
